Believe it or not many people suffer from vaginal dryness. There are many factors that may cause this to happen, but there are also many ways to help treat vaginal dryness. Many factors that may affect your vaginal dryness is stress, your diet, hormonal imbalance, and your daily washing habits, but like I said there are other factors that can cure this too. The vagina is kept moist by the mucus membranes that are in the mouth of the uterus. Estrogen aids these membranes in producing lubrication that keeps the vagina moist, strong and wards off dryness. Low estrogen often happens more in women who are going though menopause. If this is something you’re going though, try eating food high in estrogen like boiled soy beans, almond oil, and almonds. Some simple causes for dryness are personal hygiene products that you may use. Antibacterial and deodorant soaps can deprive the vaginal and vuvlar tissue of moisture. When shopping for soap make they have Ph balance and not just say gentle because sometimes even the gentle soap are not good for you. Also if you experience dryness a lot try to say away from hot tubs and swimming pools. The chemicals in those are bad for your vagina they will cause extra dryness. As well you may want to switch your laundry detergent, switch to something that is non-scented or doesn’t leave residue. Another one too is skip douching this could do more harm then good. When you douche you disrupt the vaginas normal chemical balance which in turn causes dryness and inflammation. Other common reason for vaginal dryness is not getting enough water. You should be drinking at least 8 glasses of water daily. Stray away from drinks that dehydrate you like coffee and alcohol. But if you must have your coffee in the morning just cancel it out by drink an extra glass of water a day. Make sure your getting enough “good” fat in your diet. Your body need a little bit of fat in your daily meals so you will have adequate levels of sex hormones. Good sources of this fat is soy oil, and flaxseed oil, these oils will have estrogen like effects on your body which will help produce more moisture in your vagina. Exercise to decrease vaginal dryness. When you exercise you will increase blood flow to the vaginal region and in turn decreasing dryness. Try going for a jog or just run on a tread mill. Anything to get your blood flowing is good for dryness. Another cure for vaginal dryness is Sensual Lubricants by Westridge. These lubes will not only get rid of vaginal dryness but spice up your sex life. They come in 5 different type’s lubes; id pleasure which amps up arousal, id glide (water based lube), id millennium (silicon lube, doesn’t get sticky), and two tasty flavors of strawberry and cherry.
