Learn How Your Immune System Works

“Learn How Your Immune System Works” by Steven Johnson

Your body is full of thousands of protection mechanisms; the most important one is your immune system. Your immune system is designed to defend your body against thousands of microbes, viruses, toxins, parasites, and bacteria’s. Understanding how your immune system works can sometimes be confusing. The best way to explain it is to think of what happens when something dies. Everything shuts down once something dies, including its immune system. Once the immune system is no longer functioning it makes your body susceptible to all kinds of bacteria’s and viruses. None of those germs are able to get in when your immune system is working properly, but once it begins to stop functioning, it is basically opening the door and inviting bacteria in.

Your immune system is a very complex; there is a lot to know regarding how your immune system works. There are at least two good reasons for you to know about the functions of your immune system:

  1. .There is constant research being done on how the immune system works. New technology and developments are being made everyday. News papers and the television are constantly trying to update you about the new information they discover. So it is good to understand a little bit about how the immune system works so you can understand the new information being presented to you.
  2. Another good reason to understand your immune system functions is so when you get sick you understand why. It can be very interesting to understand the reasoning behind why you get sick, have allergic reactions, and why certain parts of your body can become inflamed. It is fascinating to understand what is happening inside of your own body.

Your immune system works constantly around the clock to protect your body. Most of the time we do not even realize our immune system is so hard at work: you normally only think about your immune system when it for some reason fails. For example: you breathe in thousands of germs that are floating unseen in the air on a daily basis. Your immune system is working behind the scenes to fight off all those germs you are breathing in. Occasionally bacteria can get past the immune system. When that occurs it causes problems and your body starts to experience some sort of negative side effects. A cold or the flu is a visible sign that your immune system did not stop all the germs from getting into your body.

Your immune system basically protects you in 4 different ways:

  1. Creates a barrier so that bacteria and other germs do not enter your body
  2. If bacteria’s do happen to bypass the immune system and enter the body, your immune works even harder to try to fight them off.
  3. When bacteria’s enter your body it tends to reproduce itself and spread to other parts of the body. Your immune is hard at work making sure that the bacteria’s do not spread anywhere else.
  4. Your immune system also gives you signals that could mean something is wrong. The immune system can detect cancer in the early stages so you have a better chance of fighting against it. When your body starts to develop cancer it can be hard to detect; unless it causes symptoms in your body that send a red flag to your immune system. For example when men have prostate cancer one of the first signs is frequent urination that is your immune system telling you that something is wrong.

It is extremely important and crucial for you to keep your immune system strong so your body can stay as healthy as possible. The better you take care of your body and immune system, the longer and healthier your life span will be. If you believe that you could use a little strengthening for your immune system then I would recommend trying Echinacea Immune Support by Bell Lifestyles. It not only helps strengthen your immune system, it gives your body added protection. This is a great product to try if you have issues getting sick often.
